Day 8 & 9 La Frommagerie au Rue Cler, Le Cordon Bleu

Alors, a quick post! I start all my days at this cafe--usually on the street so that I don't bother anyone by staying a long time--and cause I love the action passing by... today was inside cause it was a bit cold, and early as I had to be on the metro by 7:30!
and yes, the guy on the scooter was tres cute--but really, I was trying to show you that he's a window washer--see the bucket on the scooter, and the ladder mounted on the back? he goes from store to store on the scooter to apply his craft! yes, i shamelessly enjoyed him washing the window on the left---of course his shirt got wet and he had to change before leaving... ahhh... the sights in paris!

I had the plaisir de voire the premier chef at Le Cordon Blue do a demonstration, followed by a tasting for the following menu: eggplant caviar with a tres elegante presentation; veau a la Cordon Bleu (petit morsels with frommage and jambon du Parm) and a bon sauce; desert was a frozen merangue with macerated fruits and pistashios and 2 coolis (raspberry and citrus)... wow! fabulous experience with front row seat and bonne goute (sp?).
also went to a fromagerie and had tastes of everything, and some fromage to take back to my room... the people were so nice and let me video them and their belle store. (I think i'll just talk like this all the time... a french word here, or there...!

Day 7a L'Orangerie

ah... les grands Monets! have some wine, sit back and enjoy...

as you can see, i am a bit behind in posting--but i think you can forgive me given the choices i have! the video on the Seine was taken from a pont (bridge) on my walk from the Musee Orsay to the L'Orangerie... ooo, watching it makes me a bit dizzy... turnturnturn...

check out the cute painter... oh lalala! men in france are much shorter than back home, but they definitely make up for it with a certain je ne sais quois!

all the vids uploaded--now for the photos

DAY6A MORE VIDS

Day 7--Musee Orsay--THE IMPRESSIONISTS

Ah Bon! the 2 day museum pass may be a good deal for some, but trying to get my money's worth is wearing! today was magnificent. J'adore the impressionists and the Orsay was all about the impressionists! not as much Monet waterlilies as I'd like (there had been a fabulous exhibit on oahu back a few years--or at L'Orangerie--but boy the huge paintings Monet did for the L'Orangerie were breathtaking!... beaucoup photos--digital makes me gluttonous! and, yes, more video! okay, i got a little nuts... but what would you cut? (well, maybe Wistler's mother, but somehow, she just needed to be here too!)

You'll have to wait for the post of the L'Orangerie--I'm off to dinner and un bon vin!
